The Cannon Shoe Company was incorporated in Maryland in 1936. The company’s offices were located in Baltimore. Over the years, Cannon acquired a number of smaller shoe makers over the years, including the Hagerstown Shoe Company and the Thurmont Shoe Company.

Cannon marketed shoes under a number of trademarks, including Air Lites, Boot and Buckle, Step Well, Orbano, the Caballero, Can-Flex, Beautettes, Bull Moose, Rough Riders, Rugged Ramblers and the the Roy Logan Shoe.
