When John C. Doyle was the President of Canadian Javelin. He put it's headquarters in Montreal, Quebec. Javelin funneled its' funds to John C. Doyle's mining operation in Jamaica. (This mine which was featured in a "James Bond" film where a "Dr. No" was processing uranium.) A court injunction stayed a share holders' convention at the Newfoundland Hotel in St. John's. Javelin was taken over by Jimmy Lee and Michael Smith, who shut down Javelin House on Water Street.
